Innovative solutions are developed to meet the challenge of tire disposal and industrial by-product problems. This included an update of the life cycles assessments, showing the benefits of the recycling, and recovery actions. Moreover, the objective of this project is to have in mind how waste tires and industrial by-product will be converted into a valuable resource and sustainability environment for the future generation.  

 

SEER-GreenCon is an innovative method of recycling processes of crumb rubber and fly ash  has been carried out.  This innovation promising in enhanced mechanical properties and fracture characteristics of concrete. The incorporation of waste tires and fly ash in concrete mix as filling materials which endow enhanced dynamic properties and thermal conductivity characteristics.  Moreover, when waste material is used in construction material to mitigate environmental issues and allows potential savings on production cost. 

 

This project was started in 2015 lead by Dr. Mariyana Aida Ab Kadir from Engineering Seismology and Earthquake  Engineering Research group.
